Our privacy policy is designed to assist you in understanding how we collect and use the personal information you provide to us and to assist you in making informed decisions when using our website, apps and services.

Ownership Information

We are the sole owner of the information we gather on our Website. We will NEVER share your information outside of Yale Cleaners. We will only share your personal information with third parties if we are required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary in order to conform to the requirements of applicable law.

Account Information

You will provide us information about yourself when you register for an account with Yale Cleaners. During registration, you will be required to provide us with your first and last name, a valid e-mail address, your home address and phone number. However, we will request optional additional information which will be used to fill in fields that exist in your account profile. This information is held in confidence and will not be disclosed to any outside resource for any reason, except where such disclosure is required by law.

iPhone/Android Apps

Yale Cleaners has developed our own iPhone and Android apps. To access these apps, you must be a current Yale Cleaners customer and have online account access. Our online services are free and easy to use. Simply follow the onscreen instructions from the apps or website to get your login credentials. By using the Apps you agree to these stated Terms of Use.

Our apps will ask to have access to certain native features of your phone for some of the app tools to work. Yale Cleaners will not store, share, or use this information for anything other than the stated feature. The apps will ask for the following permissions:

• Location Services -
  • The app uses this service for location based reminders. When enabled, the app will notify the user if their cleaning is ready to be picked up with order total; you will receive a notification each time the phone enters the boundary surrounding a roughly 1/2 mile radius centered on the store. This feature can be turned on and off from the settings tab. Yale Cleaners and the app will not track or keep any record of your location.
  • The app uses this service to display our locations on a map and to provide you turn by turn directions. Yale Cleaners and the app will not track or keep any record of your location.
• Camera -
  • The app uses the camera to capture an image of an item’s barcode to quickly look up that items cleaning history and/or input a Special Care request. The image is not stored on the phone or any server when used for this purpose.
  • If the user chooses, the app uses the camera in the “My Closet” tab to take photos of your garments. Photos of your garments will appear throughout the app helping you identify which item is being referenced. The image is stored remotely on our servers and locally on your device(s). The images are only accessible when account owner is using their app.
• Push Notifications -
  • When enabled by the user, Yale Cleaners will send you a Push Notification when your order is ready for pick up. Users can change this preference in the “Settings Tab” at any time. Only order notifications will be sent using this method.

Mobile Alerts

Yale Cleaners will send you at your request a FREE text or email when your order is complete and ready to be picked up. You must provide either a valid cell phone number or email address. We will ONLY use the provided information to send order status alerts. We will NOT spam you with promotional ads or any other information. Standard text message rates may apply.

Website

Similar to other commercial Web sites, our Web site utilizes a standard technology called “cookies” (see explanation below, “What Are Cookies?”) and Web server logs to collect information about how our Web site is used. Information gathered through cookies and Web server logs may include the date and time of visits, the pages viewed, time spent at our Web site, and non-personal actions taken while using our services. This information is collected for the sole purpose of improving our services and helping us serve you better. This information is not disclosed to any outside resource for any reason, except where such disclosure is required by law.

How We Use The Information You Provide to Us?

Broadly speaking, we use personal information for the purposes of providing you with the tools necessary to properly use our services, administer technical support when it is requested, and provide you with a personalized experience. We will never sell or provide to any 3rd party your personal or non-personal information, except where such disclosure is required by law.

Information Collection and Use

Automatic Collections: As with most web sites, when you visit our Web Site, we automatically collect and store the following, non-personally identifiable information:

1. The date and time of the visit
2. The type of browser and operating system used (if provided by the browser)
3. The URL of the referring page (if provided by the browser)
4. The object requested
5. Completion status of the request
6. The originating IP address
7. Pages visited

Automatically collected information is used by us to measure the number of visitors to the different areas of our Web Site and to assist us in making our Web Site more useful to visitors. Our Web Site may contain links to web sites not controlled or operated by us, including those of other private entities and organizations. Please be aware that when you follow a link to another web site, you are then subject to the privacy policy of the new web site. This Privacy Policy is effective as of 01-01-2017 and will remain in effect except with respect to any changes in its provisions in the future, which will be in effect immediately after being posted on this page.
